The Desert Style MFG T56 Transmission Mount Adapter Bracket adapts your T56 to the factory GMT800 transmission mount and crossmember — no fabrication, no guesswork.

Designed specifically for GMT800 LS swaps, this bracket lets you run OEM components for a clean, repeatable install.

WHAT THIS BRACKET DOES
∙ Bolts directly to your T56 transmission
∙ Adapts the T56 to the factory GMT800 transmission mount

Note: These are the factory manual transmission crossmember and mount. 1999–early 2000 trucks used a different crossmember with offset frame pickup points and are NOT compatible. Automatic transmission trucks (4L60E) used a different crossmember and compatibility with those has not been confirmed.
Available used from any late 2000–2006 GMT800 donor truck equipped with a manual transmission.

COMPATIBLE T56 DONOR
This bracket is designed and tested around the Gen 1 CTS-V T56 (2004–2007). The CTS-V uses a flanged bolt-on output yoke — not a slip yoke. That is the unit this bracket is built for.

The following T56 variants have different tail housings and are NOT confirmed fitments:
✖ F-body Camaro / Firebird T56
✖ C5 / C6 Corvette T56
✖ Pontiac GTO T56
✖ Dodge Viper T56
✖ T56 Magnum / TR-6060

Not sure which T56 you have? Check your tail housing. If it has a flanged bolt-on yoke, you’re good. If it has a slip yoke, it’s the wrong unit.

WILL NOT WORK WITH
✖ 1999–early 2000 GMT800 trucks (different crossmember)
✖ 4L60E automatic crossmember (not confirmed compatible)
✖ 4WD GMT800 trucks
✖ Non-LS engine setups
✖ Incorrect bellhousing depth
